Olympic Leadership Case Study - April 2010

Summary

Last July each secondary school nominated 2 ‘silver’ Young Ambassadors who now working within the secondary and primary pyramid throughout the academic year.  As Young Ambassadors they have been tasked with inspiring young people to take part in physical activity and sport whilst conveying the Olympic and Paralympic values.

The 16 ‘silver’ Young Ambassadors were then given the opportunity to apply to become ‘gold’ Young Ambassadors and the following 4 students were successful:-

Craig Wood (McAuley), Rhianne Quigley (McAuley), Lewis Clark (Hatfield), Vicky Sharpe (Armthorpe)

As ‘Gold’ Young Ambassadors they have acted as leads for the group as well as taken on the responsibility of planning and organising the Doncaster 2012 Celebration Day.
