5 Hour Offer
For the past few months Youth Sport Trust have been working with Sport England to review how we communicate the PE and Sport Strategy for Young People more effectively with the school and community sport network.
I would like to draw your attention to the ‘Guide to Delivering the Five Hour Offer’ – a document which outlines the vision for the strategy and the five hour offer in particular.
The guide brings together information on the aims of the strategy and the roles and responsibilities of those involved in delivering the offer of five hours of high quality PE and sport to young people in England. It is aimed at School Sport Partnerships, County Sport Partnerships, National Governing Bodies, clubs and community providers, local authorities and Primary Care Trusts.
Copies are being distributed by post this week to School Sport Partnerships, County Sport Partnerships and National Governing Bodies of Sport, with email alerts also being sent to all local authorities and Primary Care Trusts to encourage them to make use of the information and share it with the relevant teams within their organisations.
You can also download the guide from our website at www.youthsporttrust.org/pessyp
