Rock-it-ball
Rossington All Saints Edge past Armthorpe in Rock-It-Ball final thriller!!
With only Armthorpe and Rossington being able to field a team, the heat was turned up to be Flying High Alternative Activity Trophy Champions. Rossington were the more experienced team as the sport has only been introduced to Armthorpe this term and Rossington having played the sport since September. After a clear Rossington win in the first game, Armthorpe pulled it back to bring home the second game with some really good tactics going on around not being hit after some wise words from Mr Lugg (Armthorpe PE Teacher), which meant it was all down to the final game which was played over two 3 minute periods. Rossington came out victorious with a 9-5 scoreline.
In Rock-It-Ball one point is scored for throwing a soft tennis ball out of the Rock-It stick and the ball striking an opponent anywhere between shoulders to and including the feet, two points are scored if the ball is caught in the Rock-It stick pocket.
Big thanks to Rossington for use of the facilities and Armthorpe School and in particular Mr Lugg who brought a team and helped out with the officiating and organisation of the students. Every player taking part will receive a certificate and the winning team also received a trophy on behalf of the Flying High School Sports Partnership.

High 5’s Netball winners
Barnby Dun Primary school won the Y5/6 High 5 Netball competition. Edenthorpe Hall finishing 2nd. Barnby Dunn won on goal difference, scoring 3 more goals than Edenthorpe hall. Unfortunatley Kingfisher also finished level on points with the top 2 teams, but missed out on qualification be just 1 goal scored. Barnby Dun and Edenthorpe Hall go on to represent Doncaster in the South Yorkshire final.
