2012 Olympic Legacy Celebration Day
In July, Askern Spa Junior School were invited to attend the Doncaster School Sport Partnerships 2012 Olympic Legacy Celebration Day. The aim of the day is to give schools a whole range of different sporting experiences and give them a taste of what they could offer at their Primary Schools.
The Campsmount Pyramid decided to send the school who had won the most Festival Competitions this year to the event and that turned out to be Askern Spa Juniors. The students from Askern Spa got to experience a range of activities from Taekwondo, Dance, Tag Rugby to Ultimate Frisbee. The students had a fantastic day experiencing new sporting opportunities and it was great to see so much enjoyment from the students faces!
The Campsmount Leadership Academy also assisted in running the event and our Dance Leaders used the day as their formal assessment for their Level 1 in Dance Leaders. All students worked very hard and I am pleased to announce that they all passed the award.
