Hayfield Leadership Academy

 

In October 2009 The Hayfield School introduced its first ever Leadership Academy.

 

Aims of the Leadership Academy

 

·         Increase participation in out of hours learning at Hayfield and our primary feeder schools.

·         Be involved in school based and community based volunteering.

·         Be involved in planning and organising primary and secondary festivals and events.

·         To promote the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic values-friendship, excellence, courage, respect, equality, determination and inspiration.

·         Raise attainment within Physical Education and School Sport.

·         Follow a pathway of leadership and volunteering opportunities.

·         Access training and support within leadership.

 

The leaders are going to meet on a regular basis to look at how they can achieve these aims.

Hayfield Leadership Academy

All of the Leaders are currently supporting out of hours learning activities either at Hayfield or our primary feeder schools. The leaders have been issued with a record of achievement booklet to monitor their volunteering hours, courses they attend and training days that they complete. The leaders have got a fantastic opportunity to achieve various qualifications in different sports and experience high level of leadership and volunteering skills, which will support many career pathways.
