New Members for McAuley Leadership Academy
The McAuley Leadership Academy invited new applicants from the 6th form at the start of the term. Eleven pupils applied and are now going through the application process. Last week they honed their skipping skills in a session which involved trying new skills and teaching each other skipping routines. They have been set a task to design a competition for year 7 pupils that the successful candidates will take full responsibility for when they become full members of the academy. Over the next couple of weeks they will demonstrate their competition ideas and then deliver a short multi-skills session to the rest of the group. The successful applicants will join the rest of the academy in delivering activities at lunchtime and after school and supporting the organising and delivery of primary competitions.
