Sponsors: Dons in the Community paid for the 6 week coaching block; Ray Green organises our section, Martin Rowlands provides the coaching.
Thornensians’ RFC hosted the tournament.
Local………………….provided the match trophy.
Match officials: Martin Rowlands, tournament organiser, Carl Hughes and Adam Lloyd, voluntary match referees.
All 5 local schools attended – bringing 9 squads of 10 players between them.
Referees coached, encouraged and ensured safe fair play.
Children used all their newly acquired skills to throw, catch and run the ball to win.
Parents added their encouragement from the sidelines.
Squads played all the teams in their league then on to semis and the Brooke V Green Top final.
