Time:      1:30-3:30

The highlight of our cricketing term – the 2nd Fishlake Cricket Club Y3/4 tournament – and again the sun shone for us.

Four teams took to the crease to put their new skills to work. Whilst the teams played, the extra players improved their fielding skills with coach Tarryn.

After a nervy beginning, the children quickly started to apply their knowledge of batting, fielding and bowling.

Refreshments were a very welcome sight after the first 2 games had been played, giving pupils a rest and team managers time to discuss tactics!

West Road looked very smart in their new team strip. And was that a new strip that Brooke team were wearing too?!

Results:

1st  - Green Top     2nd – Marshland     3rd – Brooke     4th West Road

Many thanks to Alison and team from Fishlake Cricket Club for again hosting the tournament for us; the facilities were fantastic and the refreshments very welcome.

Thanks also to the pupil players and coaches, staff and parents.

All pupils received a certificate of attendance and the winning team received a trophy.

All expenses were paid for with Extended Services funding via Liz Appleyard, for which we are very grateful (400 pupils have benefited).
