Trinity Family PE Inset Day

23 teachers from the Thorne pyramid assembled at King Edward Primary School to take part in a Family PE Inset Day .
Sarah Belk, dance tutor, soon allayed fears of inadequacy and quickly involved staff in ‘what I need to know to teach this subject effectively’. As understanding increased so too did satisfaction and in many cases enjoyment.
Simultaneously, Sharon Robinson (gymnastics at Brooke) and Shirley Pryce (games at Green Top) were also working their magic.
At close of play all participants were commenting on how useful the day had been and the expertise of the course tutors.
All five schools had sent staff from both key stages to all three courses, ensuring whole school coverage.
The good news is that you get a year to practise this newly acquired information, the better news is that in 2010 another physical education inset day has been booked – this time to cover OAA, outdoor and adventurous activity – you’ll love it!
