Doncaster Indoor Rowing Championships 2009 - THE RESULTS!
Doncaster's First Indoor Rowing Competition was a real success! Over 130 young people took part in what proved to be a high quality competition. Organised by Doncaster's School Sport Partnerships and delivered by Doncaster Rowing Club the event gave young people both a competitive experience and an oppourtunity to have a look around the facilities and recieve information on how to join the club.
Year 7's all the way up to 6th formers were at the event and all had different challenges ranging from rowing for 2 minutes to rowing 2000m's. Teams that completed challenges the quickest or rowed the longest distance have now gone forward to represent Doncaster at the South Yorkshire Final on Friday 15th May.
A big thank you needs to go to the rowing club for all the help and support to enable the partnerships to run the competition.
